Audi is finally warming up to the idea of a hatchback in India. The sporty and luxurious hatchback, Audi A1, will be launched with two petrol as well as two diesel engines with featuring turbocharged direct injection technology in all of them. The Audi A1 would be imported to India as a completely built unit. The classy hatchback will be loaded with safety features including airbags ABS, EBD, and ESP. Fog lamps and parking sensors. The Bravo is a hatchback from Italian car maker, Fiat. The small family car Bravo will be imported by Fiat India as CBU (Completely Built-up Units) from Italy. The Brave will be available in both petrol and diesel variants. The petrol version will have a 1368cc, 4 cylinder with maximum power of 148bhp and the diesel version will come with a 1910cc, 4 cylinder which can deliver 150bhp. The most important trait about the Bravo is noise is well suppressed, whether it is wind noise, or engine noise. The New Mini Cooper is a premium small car from the house the British Automotive Brand owned by BMW. The car is slightly larger than both the Beetle and the Fiat 500 and this attribute of the car may prove to be a weapon against them. Mini is expected to launch in India in 3 variants: Mini One, Cooper, and Cooper S. The car will come with a choice of four engines in India: 95 bhp 1.4L engine, 110bhp 1.6L engine, 120bhp 1.6L engine, and 175bhp turbocharged 1.6L engine. Mercedes believes that at some time India would be ready for the A-Class and this car would be be positioned as an entry-level car in the country. The car is designed according to Mercedes-Benz concept of 'touch and feel'. A thumb's touch on the multi-function power steering wheel can control the car. It comes with the Mercedes COMAND APS, a navigation system for directions via GPS. The Parktronic system offers signals indicating how far the car is from an obstacle. The A-class optionally includes a Light & Sight package which includes bi-xenon HID headlamps with gas-discharge bulbs, cornering lights, Headlamp Assist which automatically turns on the lights when needed, and a rain sensor that adjusts the wiper speed depending on rainfall intensity. When the car enters a tunnel or underground space, it goes into the tunnel mode, where the windows and panoramic sliding sunroof get closed.
