THE 3 ANGEL’S MESSAGE
Antonio Bernard
Revelation 14:6 And I saw
another angel fly in the midst
of heaven, having the
everlasting gospel to preach
unto them that dwell on the
earth, and to every nation,
and kindred, and tongue, and
people,
Angels=messengers - Revelation 1:16, 20; 12:4, 7-9; Job 38:7
" The angels are represented as flying in the midst of heaven,
proclaiming to the world a message of warning, and having a
direct bearing upon the people living in the last days of this earth’s
history. No one hears the voice of these angels, for they are a
symbol to represent the people of God who are working in
harmony with the universe of heaven. Men and women,
enlightened by the Spirit of God and sanctified through the truth,
proclaim the three messages in their order. {2SM 387.1}"
Galatians 4:14 And my temptation which was in my
flesh ye despised not, nor rejected; but received
me{Paul} as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.
In a special sense Seventh-day Adventists have been
set in the world as watchmen and light bearers. To
them has been entrusted the last warning for a
perishing world. On them is shining wonderful
light from the Word of God. They have been
given a work of the most solemn
import--the proclamation of the first,
second, and third angels' messages.
There is no other work of so great
importance. They are to allow nothing else to
absorb their attention.--9T 19 (1909). {LDE 45.3}
our work is to benefit our fellow-men,
we are not to travel over the track of
opponents to the truth, but to
sound the message of the third
angel, who is flying in the midst of
heaven, proclaiming the note of
warning, the commandments of God,
and the testimony of Jesus Christ.

What is this Everlasting Gospel ?
This gospels is called
VICTORY OF SIN…that as
Christian we can live a sinless
and perfect live by the
indwelling power of Christ
But the plan
of redemption
had a yet
broader and
deeper
purpose than
the salvation
of man. It

The Saviour came to glorify
the Father by the
demonstration of His love;
so the Spirit was to glorify
Christ by revealing His
grace to the world. The
very image of God is to be
reproduced in humanity.
The honor of God, the
honor of Christ, is involved
in the perfection of the
character of His people.

Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for
it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth;
to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you
according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ,
according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept
secret since the world began,
Romans 16:26 But now is made manifest, and by the scriptures
of the prophets, according to the commandment of the
everlasting God, made known to all nations for the obedience of
faith:
Revelation 10:7 But in the days of the voice of the
seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the
mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared
to his servants the prophets.
Colossians 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been
hid from ages and from generations, but now is made
manifest to his saints:
Colossians 1:27 To whom God would make known
what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among
the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Colossians 1:28 Whom we preach, warning every
man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we
may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:
Galatians 4:19 My little children, of whom I travail in birth
again until Christ be formed in you, Romans 8:10 And if Christ be
in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life
because of righteousness.
Romans 13:14 But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make
not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Ephesians 4:24 And that ye put on the new man, which after
God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
Galatians 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into
Christ have put on Christ.
“Be ye therefore perfect,
even as your Father which
is in heaven is perfect.”
Matthew 5:48
Galatians 2:20,
“I am crucified with Christ:
nevertheless I live; yet not I,
but Christ liveth in me: and
the life which I now live in
the flesh I live by the faith of
the Son of God, who loved

which was also in Christ
Jesus:” Phil. 2:5
“When we submit ourselves to
Christ, the heart is united with
His heart, the will is merged in
His will, the mind becomes
one with His mind, the
thoughts are brought into
captivity to Him; we live His
life. This is what

Lord looks upon us He sees,
not the fig-leaf garment, not
the nakedness and deformity
of sin, but His own robe of
righteousness, which is perfect
obedience to the law of
Jehovah.”

The final demonstration of what the
gospel can do in and for humanity is
still in the future. Christ showed the
way. He took a human body, and in that
body demonstrated the power of God.
Men are to follow His example and
prove that what God did in Christ, He
can do in every human being who
submits to Him. The world is awaiting
this demonstration. (Romans 8: 19)
When it has been accomplished, the
end will come. God will have fulfilled
His plan. He will have shown Himself
true and Satan a liar. His government
will stand vindicated.

"In the last generation God gives the
final demonstration that men can keep
the law of God and that they can live
without sinning . God leaves nothing
undone to make the demonstration
complete . The only limitation put upon
Satan is that he may not kill the saints
of God . He may tempt them, he may
harass and threaten them ; and he does
his best . But he fails . He cannot make
them sin . They stand the test, and God
puts His seal upon them . "Through the
last generation of saints God stands
finally vindicated . Through them He
defeats Satan and wins His case .

In all of our Christian experience
we have left little loopholes along
here and there for sin. We have
never dared to come to that place
where we would believe that the
Christian life should be a sinless
life. We have not dared to believe
it or preach it. But in that case we
cannot preach the law of God
fully. Why not? Because we do
not understand the power of
justification by faith
Alonzo T. Jones
(1850 – 1923)
Christ is to be in us, just as
God was in Him, and His
character is to be in us, just as
God was in Him. . . It is the
cooperation of the divine and
the human—the mystery of
God in you and me—. . . that is
the third angel’s message
(A.T. Jones, General
Conference Bulletin, 1893, p.
207).
Alonzo T. Jones
(1850 – 1923)
In Jesus Christ as He was
in sinful flesh, God has
demonstrated before the
universe that He can so
take possession of sinful
flesh as to manifest His
own presence, His power,
and His glory, instead of
sin manifesting itself. . .
(A.T. Jones, General
Conference Bulletin, 1895,
p. 303).
Alonzo T. Jones
(1850 – 1923)
Then God will so take us, and
so use us, that our sinful
selves shall not appear to
influence or affect anybody;
but God will manifest His
righteous self, His glory,
before men, in spite of all
ourselves and our sinfulness.
. . And that is the mystery of
God, ‘Christ in you, the hope
of glory,’—God manifest in
sinful flesh.
(A.T. Jones, General
Conference Bulletin, 1895,
p. 303).
The Saviour took upon Himself
the infirmities of humanity and
LIVED A SINLESS LIFE, that
men might have no fear that
because of the weakness of
human nature they could not
overcome. Christ came to make
us "partakers of the divine
nature," and His life declares
that HUMANITY, COMBINED
WITH DIVINITY, DOES NOT
COMMIT SIN.
THE MINISTRY OF HEALING, P. 180.
Alonzo T. Jones
(1850 – 1923)
Perfection, perfection of
character, is the Christian
goal—perfection attained
in human flesh in this
world. Christ attained it in
human flesh in this world,
and thus made and
consecrated a way
by which, in Him, every
believer can attain it .
(A.T. Jones, The Consecrated
Way to Christian Perfection, p.
84).
Ellet J. Waggoner
(1855 – 1916)
But before probation ends,
there will be a people so
complete in Him that in
spite of their sinful flesh,
they will live sinless lives.
They will live sinless lives
in mortal flesh, because He
who has demonstrated that
He has power over all flesh
lives in them—lived a
sinless life in sinful flesh.
(E.J. Waggoner, General
Conference Bulletin, 1901, p.
146).

godlikeness—is the goal

in his sphere, to perfection of
Christian character. By the
sacrifice of Christ provision
has been made for the

godliness. God calls upon us
to reach the standard of
perfection, and places before
us the example of Christ’s

The controlling power of
APPETITE will prove the ruin of

they would have had moral

those who are SLAVES TO
APPETITE WILL FAIL IN
PERFECTING CHRISTIAN

Again and again I have been shown that
God is trying to lead us back, step by
step, to His original design—that man
should subsist upon the natural
products of the earth. Among those who
are waiting for the coming of the Lord,
meat-eating will eventually be done
away; flesh will cease to form a part of
their diet. We should ever keep this end
in view, and endeavor to work steadily
toward it. Mar 62.6
Let the diet reform be progressive. Let the people be taught
how to prepare food without the use of milk and butter. Tell
them that the time will soon come when there will be no
safety in using eggs, milk, cream, or butter, because disease
in animals is increasing in proportion to the increase of
wickedness among men. The time is near when, because of
the iniquity of the fallen race, the whole animal creation will
groan under the diseases that curse our earth. {TSDF 13.5}
There is no safety in eating of the flesh of dead
animals, and in a short time the milk of the
cows will also be excluded from the diet of
God's commandment-keeping people. In a
short time it will not be safe to use anything
that comes from the animal creation. [written
in 1898]—Pacific Union Recorder, Nov. 7, 1901.
Worship
Revelation14:7…worship him that made heaven, and earth,
and the sea, and the fountains of waters.
In this first angel's message, we are called upon to worship our Creator
who also formed this earth. There are other Bible texts which call for
us to do the same, Jeremiah 10:11,12; Psalms 95:3-6, Revelation 4:10-
11, and most importantly Exodus 20:8-11 "Remember the Sabbath day,
to keep it holy. . . For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the
sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day; wherefore the
Lord blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it." In this message of
judgment, we are called upon to worship the Creator, who also created
the Sabbath day. Note how the Sabbath has a part in salvation,
"Moreover also I gave them My Sabbaths, to be a sign between Me
and the, that they might know that I am the Lord that sanctify them"
Ezekiel 20:12.
• I have glorified You on the earth.
• I have finished the work which You have given Me to
do.
• Whoever offers praise glorifies Me; and to him who
orders his conduct aright I will show the salvation of
God
• What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the
Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and
ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price:
therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit,
which are God's.
John 17:4 & Ps 50:23, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
• By watching over our deeds,
words, and even our thoughts, in
order to always keep them in
harmony with God's will, we give
glory to God continuously, and
thus we obey the message of the
first angel.
• By giving glory to God in this way,
we will be transformed into His
image, and we will reflect His
glory more and more in our lives.
2 Cor 3:18 & 2 Tim 4 :18
• But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a
mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed
into the same image from glory to glory, just as by
the Spirit of the Lord.
• And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work
and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom.
• To Him be glory forever and ever.
Rev 14:7
• [The angel was] saying with a loud voice,
• «Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour
of His judgment has come; and worship Him
who made heaven and earth, the sea and
springs of water.» Rom 1 vs 25
Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O
Lord, to receive glory and
honour and power: for thou
hast created all things, and for
thy pleasure they are and were
created.
Rev 14:12
• Here is the patience of the saints; here are
those who keep the commandments of God
and the faith of Jesus.
• Exodus 20:8-11(KJV)
• 8 Remember the sabbath day,
to keep it holy.
• 9 Six days shalt thou labour,
and do all thy work:
• 10 But the seventh day is the
sabbath of the LORD thy God:
in it thou shalt not do any
work, thou, nor thy son, nor
thy daughter, thy manservant,
nor thy maidservant, nor thy
cattle, nor thy stranger that is
within thy gates:
• 11 For in six days
the LORD made heaven and
earth, the sea, and all that in
them is, and rested the
seventh day: wherefore
the LORD blessed the sabbath
day, and hallowed it.
How do we know which day is
• «For the hour of His judgment has come.»
Indeed, at present, the case of
each believer is being judged in
the heavenly sanctuary, in order
to determine the genuineness of
each conversion.
And the supreme basis of this
judgment is God's law.
Now, why must we fear God and give glory
to Him?
Those who are living upon the earth
when the intercession of Christ shall
cease in the sanctuary above are to stand
in the sight of a holy God without a
mediator. Their robes must be spotless,
their characters must be purified from sin
by the blood of sprinkling. Through the
grace of God and their own diligent effort
they must be conquerors in the battle
with evil. While the investigative
judgment is going forward in heaven,
while the sins of penitent believers are
being removed from the sanctuary, there
is to be a special work of purification, of
putting away of sin, among God's people
upon earth. This work is more clearly
presented in the messages of Revelation
14.
When this work shall have been
accomplished, the followers of Christ will
be ready for His appearing. {GC 425.1}
• Since 1844, the judgment of the
believers has caused the names
of those who aren't really
converted to be blotted out from
the Lamb's Book of Life.
