  Obedient Biblical Characters: The Lordrewarded those who were willing to follow His commands: 5.David refused to harm Saul, the anointed king. 6.Jehoshaphat relied on God’s word when the Ammonites attacked Judah. 7.Nehemiah boldly asked the Babylonian king for supplies to rebuild Jerusalem and received all he needed, including guards to help him safely reach the city.

  Obedient Biblical Characters: The Lordrewarded those who were willing to follow His commands: 8.Daniel and his three friends refused to eat meat because it was not prepared according to Hebrew dietary laws. Yet they were healthier than all the other young men.  9.Peter and the apostles refused to stop preaching about Jesus, even though they were threatened with flogging and imprisonment.

  Blessings in Obedience A.Peace, joy, and contentment. These internal qualities often result when we step out in faith and obey God. B. Spiritual growth. We will have more faith to obey the next time God challenges us to do something. C. Eternal blessings. When we stand before God on judgment day, we will be rewarded for our obedience.

  CHALLENGE:  To obeyGod, we must be willing to make the necessary adjustments, changes, or sacrifices required.  Halfhearted and partial obedience are still DISOBEDIENCE.  There’s NO blessing in disobedience.  The TRUE obedience is your WHOLEHEARTED and FULL obedience.  We will give to God a full measure of obedience, and we will receive a full measure of blessing.
