We are soldiers for God
2 Timothy 2:3-4 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that
warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen
him to be a soldier.
The Armour is needed
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole
armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. (Ephesians 6:10-11

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and
let us put on the armour of light. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not
provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. (Romans 13:12, 14 KJV)
Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. And he
answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy
