Ruth was a Moabite woman who demonstrated extreme loyalty and devotion to her mother-in-law, Naomi, after both were widowed. Despite Naomi urging her to return to Moab, Ruth insisted on accompanying Naomi back to Bethlehem. There, through gleaning in the fields of Boaz, a close family redeemer, Ruth and Naomi began to rebuild their lives. Boaz ultimately married Ruth and redeemed Naomi's land, restoring both women.
