The Millennium
Revelation 20:1-9

• (1) Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven,
holding the key of the abyss and a great chain in
his hand. (2) And he laid hold of the dragon, the
serpent of old, who is the devil and Satan, and
bound him for a thousand years; (3) and he threw
him into the abyss, and shut it and sealed it over
him, so that he would not deceive the nations any
longer, until the thousand years were completed;
after these things he must be released for a short
time.

declares the LORD, "When I will raise up for David
a righteous Branch; And He will reign as king and
act wisely And do justice and righteousness in the
land. (6) "In His days Judah will be saved, And
Israel will dwell securely; And this is His name by
which He will be called, 'The LORD our
righteousness.'

God, and those who had not worshiped the beast
or his image, and had not received the mark on
their forehead and on their hand; and they came
to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand
years.

• (5) The rest of the dead did not come to life until
the thousand years were completed. This is the
first resurrection. (6) Blessed and holy is the one
who has a part in the first resurrection; over these
the second death has no power, but they will be
priests of God and of Christ and will reign with Him
for a thousand years.

may walk in His paths." For the law will go forth
from Zion And the word of the LORD from
Jerusalem.

• (4) And He will judge between the nations, And
will render decisions for many peoples; And they
will hammer their swords into plowshares and
their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift
up sword against nation, And never again will they
learn war.

lamb, And the leopard will lie down with the
young goat, And the calf and the young lion and
the fatling together; And a little boy will lead
them. (7) Also the cow and the bear will graze,
Their young will lie down together, And the lion
will eat straw like the ox. (8) The nursing child will
play by the hole of the cobra, And the weaned
child will put his hand on the viper's den.

• (9) They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy
mountain, For the earth will be full of the
knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the
sea.

infant who lives but a few days, Or an old man
who does not live out his days; For the youth will
die at the age of one hundred And the one who
does not reach the age of one hundred Will be
thought accursed. (21) "They will build houses
and inhabit them; They will also plant vineyards
and eat their fruit. (22) "They will not build and
another inhabit, They will not plant and another
eat; For as the lifetime of a tree, so will be the days
of My people, And My chosen ones will wear out
the work of their hands.

Israel is restored to the land.
Jerusalem will be the world’s capital.
No more war.
Christ will reign over the whole earth righteously.
Life expectancy will be greatly extended.
There will be peace and tranquility.
There will be justice for all.
The ungodly will be punished immediately.
The nature of animals will be changed.
The earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord.

• (7) When the thousand years are completed,
Satan will be released from his prison, (8) and will
come out to deceive the nations which are in the
four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to
gather them together for the war; the number of
them is like the sand of the seashore. (9) And
they came up on the broad plain of the earth and
surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved
city, and fire came down from heaven and
devoured them.

• Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is more deceitful than all
else And is desperately sick; Who can understand
it?
