1) Moses was raised as an Egyptian prince but knew he was Hebrew. After killing an Egyptian slavemaster, he fled to Midian.
2) God appeared to Moses in a burning bush and commanded him to return to Egypt to demand Pharaoh free the Israelites.
3) Despite several plagues inflicted upon Egypt, Pharaoh refused to free the Israelites until the death of all firstborn sons. The Israelites were then delivered out of Egypt through the parting of the Red Sea.
