How can I receive Gods
     Blessings
“Blessed are those who are
     spiritually needy.
     For the Kingdom of
 Heaven belongs to them.
Jesus told a story to some
people who were sure they were
right with God. They looked down
on everybody else. He said to
them, “Two men went up to the
temple to pray. One was a
Pharisee. The other was a tax
             collector.
“ The Pharisee stood up and
       prayed about himself.
‘ God, I thank you that I am not
like other people,’ he said. ‘I am
not like robbers or those who do
other evil things. I am not like
those who commit adultery. I am
not even like this tax collector. I
fast twice a week. And I give a
          tenth of all I get.’
“ But the tax collector stood not
very far away. He would not even
look up to heaven. He beat his
chest and said, ‘God, have mercy
on me. I am a sinner.’
“ I tell you, the tax collector went
home accepted by God. But not
the Pharisee. Everyone who lifts
himself up will be brought down.
And anyone who is brought down
           will be lifted up.”
People who are poor in spirit…
   Admit their strengths and
          weaknesses
Don’t think they are better than
              others
Don’t try for a false, macho
              image
Don’t always have to have their
             own way
  Allows others to help them
 Are not too concerned about
what they have or don’t have
Jesus says that only the
 spiritually needy will enter into
the kingdom of God because they
    confess and turn to Jesus.
Blessed are those who
        mourn.
     For they will be
      comforted.
People who mourn…
  They notice and understand
     when others are upset
They of fer support when others
are sad or going through a
            rough time
 They show concern when they
  see suf fering throughout the
              world
When we want happiness at any
cost the lines between right and
 wrong can become blurred and
we stop seeing how far apart
  from Jesus we have become.
We need to recognize that we are
  sinners and understand how
much our sins not only hurt
others but how much they hurt
               God.
Blessed are those who are
      free of pride.
   They will be given the
          earth.
“ Come to me, all of you who are
    tired and are carrying heavy
loads. I will give you rest.
  Become my servants and learn
from me. I am gentle and free of
pride. You will find rest for your
souls. Serving me is easy, and my
             load is light.”
People who are fee of pride…
They don’t try to get their way by
     using physical, verbal or
        emotional violence
They don’t try to make others
    feel stupid, or push others
              around!
Even when they know they are
               right
   they won’t try to manipulate
Blessed are those who are
hungry and thirsty for what
         is right.
     They will be filled.
Whoever pursues righteousness and
                 love
   finds life, prosperity, and honor

          Proverbs 21:21
People who hunger and thirst for
          what is right…
stick up for those who are being
        treated unfairly and
are willing to give people a
second chance if they mess up
Blessed are those who
     show mercy.
   They will be shown
       mercy.
People who are merciful…
are willing to show mercy and
  forgiveness when someone
    does something wrong
Mercy is love shown toward those
that need some sort of support,
     especially in the area of
           forgiveness
You are the children that God
dearly loves. So be just like him.
Lead a life of love, just as Christ
did. He loved us. He gave himself
            up for us.
Blessed are those whose
    hearts are pure.
    They will see God.
Psalm 119:9
How can a person keep there
         heart pure?
By living in keeping with the
        Word of God.
People who are pure in heart…
are committed to being a good
friend always; they are not hot
one day and cold the next
They have the best of intentions
       in dealing with others

Deception and lies destroy purity and it
     contaminates what is pure.
Blessed are those who
     make peace.
They will be called sons
       of God.
So let us do all we can to live in
peace. And let us work hard to
      build each other up.

         Romans 14:19
People who are peacemakers…
 Help patch things up between
             people
They promote working together
    rather than breaking up
         relationships
Blessed are those who suffer
   for doing what is right.
    The kingdom of heaven
      belongs to them.
“Blessed are you when people
make fun of you and hurt you
because of me. You are also
blessed when they tell all kinds of
evil lies about you because of me.
Be joyful and glad. Your
reward in heaven is great.
Everyone who wants to live a Godly life
in Christ Jesus will be persecuted
while evildoers and impostors will go
from bad to worse, deceiving and being
                deceived.

            2 Timothy 3:12
“Remember the words I spoke to you. I
said, ‘A servant is not more important
than his master.’ If people hated me
and tried to hurt me, they will do the
same to you. If they obeyed my
teaching, they will obey yours also.

              John 15:20
People who are persecuted for
         doing right…
They are not afraid to stick up
   for people and things they
believe in, even if others make
           fun of them
5 ways I can receive
  Gods Blessings
My child, do not forget my
        teaching.
Keep my commands in your
          heart.
Don’t let love and truth ever
          leave you.
 Tie them around your neck.
Write them on the tablet of
         your heart.
It is better to displease
                  people by doing
what you know is right, than to
temporarily please them by doing
         what you know is wrong.
Trust in the Lord with all your
              heart.
Do not depend on your own
         understanding.
In all your ways remember him.

         Proverbs 3:5-6
Don’t be wise in your own eyes.
Have respect for the Lord and
          avoid evil.

          Proverbs 3:7
Always let Him
 lead you and HE
will clear the road
 for you to follow
Giving
Honor the Lord with your wealth.
Give him the first share of all
            your crops.
Then your storerooms will be so
 full they can’t hold everything.

          Proverbs 3:9-10
“Remember the words I spoke to you. I
said, ‘A servant is not more important
than his master.’ If people hated me
and tried to hurt me, they will do the
same to you. If they obeyed my
teaching, they will obey yours also.
