A PSALM.
Who is ASAPH?
• The name ASAPH means convener/collector/gatherer.
• He wrote twelve Psalms in total, chapters 50, 73 to 83.
• Asaph was a Levite and chief musician among whom King David
appointed to oversee the worship of Israel (1 Chronicles 6:31-32)
• He is a recorder in time of Hezekiah (2 Kings 18:18)
• He is the keeper of the King’s forest (Nehemiah 2:8)
Psalm 77:9-10
We can tell God everything and be honest
about our feelings. We can ask Him
anything but He won’t criticize us for
asking.
Psalms 77:11
Asaph didn’t talk to God only about the
pain; he also recalled God’s power and mighty
works for him and God’s people.
Psalms 77:13
Think about the good that might come out of the
situation . What might you learn? What might God
want to do? What do you know He will do because
His ways are perfect?

This time look at your circumstances
with eyes of faith. Remind yourself that
He is the God of great wonders and can
be trusted.
1. Asaph had doubts. He almost God. (Psalms 73:1-2)
2. Observed that the wicked prospered. (Psalm 73:3-9)
3. Righteous Suffered. (Psalm 73:10-14)
1. Do not speak of doubts. Decide to go to house of God to
meditate. (Psalm 73:15-17)
2. Wicked are not safe. They will be punished one day. (Psalm
73:18-20)
3. Great fear. Realizes foolishness of doubting. (Psalm 73:21-26)
4. Final Conclusion. Draw near to God, spread His word. (Psalm
73:27-28)
