Living FROM Blessing, not FOR Blessing

God blessed humanity in Genesis to be fruitful, multiply, and rule over the earth. All spiritual blessings from heaven come through Jesus Christ. God is ready to bless all who come to him by faith. Even when we were enemies of God, Jesus' death brought the possibility of friendship with God and its blessings. To receive blessings, we should focus on God, give thanks for what we have, and expect God's blessings by faith in his goodness, without needing to see them. We should also be givers like God, from whom we have received grace and blessings.

Living from Blessing Not for Blessing
Genesis 1:28 (NIV) 28 God blessed them and said to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground."

3. Expect God’s blessing by faith – just because God is good. Hebrews 11:1 (TLB) 1 What is faith? It is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.
