WHAT IS CSS?  CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheet  Used to make the html document more attractive Three types of CSS: 1. External CSS 2. Inline CSS 3. Internal CSS
WHY IS IT CALLED A MARK UP LANGUAGE?  HTML is called a mark up language because it contains plain text with mark up tags These tags describe document content HTML documents are also called webpages
DESCRIPTION OF CSS  In Internal CSS, the properties of the webpage are coded inside the style tags in head part of the HTML file In External CSS, the properties of the webpage are coded in a separate file saved with extension .CSS and linked to the html file In Inline CSS, the properties of the webpage are defined within the html file in <style> attributes
