A Testimony - Chris Brown

Chris Brown shares his testimony of a vision he had of a fish out of water on the sand in need of being brought to the living waters of Jesus Christ. He interprets this as a call to introduce souls who are dying without God (the fish) to salvation through Christ (the living waters). He has since focused on finding other disciples at his workplace to pray and look for opportunities to share the gospel, trusting God to open doors. He has learned the importance of preparing hearts through prayer first before stepping out in faith to fulfill their calling of making disciples.

Solitary Prayer Time Mk 1v35 Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, He went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.
A Miracle Mt 4v19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Jn 4v10 Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink’, you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water”
Symbols and Meaning • Fish – “…it can represent a soul or someone ready to be saved. Hab 1:14; Luke 11:11; John 21:11; Matt 4:19; John 21:6” • Sand – “Figuratively it can represent a countless number of people.. Gen 22:17; Gen 32:12; Is 10:22)” • Water – “Life-giving provision of God that you need to live John 7:38; Peace of the Lord. Inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit. It also represents the Spirit of Life (Ruach) and the Salvation of the Lord (John 4:14, John 7:37-39, Rev 21:6, Rev 22:17”
Symbols and Meaning • Salt – “..Treaty or Covenant.. Matt 5:13, Mk 9:50. It can show that the Lord is cleansing you from Sin and unrighteousness Ez 16:4, 2 Kings 2: 20-21. It can also symbolise hospitality and purity (Ezra 4:14). Its function is to preserve and prevent from corruption.”
Interpretation • God had shown me that the fish was the soul of a man. • The fish was out of the water on sand, amongst an unsaved multitude of people. • The fish was busy dying. • Without an Intervention, the fish would certainly die. • My role was to introduce the fish to the water. The Living waters. Jesus Christ. • The sea was salt, which is an everlasting covenant with Jesus Christ. A covenant which cleanses, purifies, and makes holy.

Learnings • Find other Disciples in your place of employ with a common vision to see the lost saved. • Prepare the soil – Pray • Wait for the Lord’s leading to open the door (this comes from 2 above) • Step out in Faith and into your Calling. • Encourage others to step into and practise their ministerial gifts • Enjoy the Fruit
Some thoughts to meditate upon • Bill Weise: Lord how will they believe me? • The Lord Jesus: Its not your job to convince them, it’s your job to tell them. Except from 23 Minutes in Hell – by Bill Weise Matthew 10v32-33 Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. But whoever denies Me before men, him I will also deny before My Father who is in heaven.
