8. Perhatikan penggunaan Have
Jika dalam kalimat terdapat have/has + V3 (present
perfect) maka question tag nya menjadi haven’t / hasn’t +
S?
Namun jika have yang dimaksud artinya adalah memiliki,
maka question tagnya menjadi “don’t/doesn’t + S” karena
have berfungsi sebagai kata kerja.
✘ The students have learned Japanese, haven’t they?
✘ You have two cats, don’t you?

9. Penggunaan kata-kata negatif pada kalimat positif (never,
seldom, barely, dan hardly). Karena sudah negatif, maka
question tag nya dibuat positif.
✘ She never reads your message, does she?
✘ They barely come to your house, do they?
10. Perhatikan subjek
Subjek “nobody, “no one”, “somebody” dan “someone”
dijadikan “they” pada question tag-nya. Sedangkan “nothing”
dan “everything” menjadi “it”. Penggunaan “no” artinya
negatif, maka question tag-nya menjadi positif.
