CONTENT
• The series is set in the fictional rural town of Hawkins, Indiana. At the
nearby Hawkins National Laboratory, they are engaged in secret
paranormal and even supernatural experiments on humans. Through
negligence, they managed to create a portal to an alternate dimension
called the Upside Down. However, this dimension begins to affect the
unsuspecting inhabitants of Hawkins in a catastrophic way.
CONTENTS OF SEASON 1
• Will was returning from a game night at the Upside Down
dimension when he was kidnapped by a creature. His mother
Joyce, along with Police Chief Jimmy Hopper, begin to
search for him. Later, Barbara, a friend of Mike's older sister
Nancy, also disappears. It seems that Joyce is mad at the
loss of her son and claims that she communicates with him
from another world. Her older son Jonathan doesn't believe
her at first, but under the weight of mounting evidence, he,
along with Nancy, begins to search for Will and Barbara and
prepare to fight a dangerous creature from the Upside Down
nicknamed the Demogorgon.
CONTENTS OF SEASON 1
• Meanwhile, a strange little girl called Eleven with psychic
abilities escapes from Hawkins National Laboratory. Mike hides
Eleven in his basement and she helps Mike, Dustin and Lucas
find their lost friend. At the end, Will returns, but Eleven
mysteriously disappears into the world of the Upside Down
WHAT I LIKE
• The show introduces us to Will and his friends in the best possible way,
almost foreshadowing what’s to come in this fantasy-filled show.
Showing us what a nerdy bunch they are, the kiddos play Dungeons
and Dragons in a dark basement like most boys their age did in the
1980s.
Will, Mike, Lucas, and Dustin all share a love of the famous role-playing
game and routinely escape their ordinary little town by diving into its
exciting and dangerous fantasy world. Until of course, one of them is
kidnapped by a real-life monster and their childhood becomes one
terrifyingly authentic D&D game for the next four years. Childhood

CHARACTERS
• Will- William Will Byers, portrayed by Noah Schnapp, is a main character
in STRANGER THINGS, having a recurring but pivotal role in the first season,
before being promoted to the main cast from the second season onward. He is
the youngest son of Joyce Byers, the younger brother to Jonathan Byers, the
stepbrother.
Michael- Mike Wheeler, portrayed by Finn Wolfhard, is a main character
in STRANGER THINGS. The leader of the Party, he is the boyfriend of Eleven, the
best friend of Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair, Will Byers, and Max Mayfield, and
the younger brother of Nancy Wheeler.
Hopper- was Chief of Police in the small, sleepy town of Hawkins, Indiana, where
he used to live out a carefree existence, though forever haunted by his past.
After an old friend, Joyce Byers, reported that her son, Will, had mysteriously
disappeared, Hopper's life became infinitely more complicated.
MOMENTS WHICH I HATE
• The first tragic moment in Stranger Things turned out to be a fake-out, but
the scene was so tragic that few viewers were annoyed by this later revelation.
After the meek preteen Will Byers went missing in the pilot episode, Stranger
Things devoted the first half of its debut season to the search for him. Then Will’s
body was found and, in a devastating scene set to Peter Gabriel’s Heroes, his
family contended with the reality of his death. The scene was so crushing that it
made Stranger Things’ fake-out death problem briefly seem like a good thing.
RECOMMENDATION
WHY I WATCH IT
• It is for those who like various mysteries, where something is explored
and searched. The series is intended for children over twelve years of
age.
HOW SHOULD MIGHT
CONTINUE
• All friends could get together and discover a new mystery together, for
example, go explore a castle or a castle.
DIFFERENT PARTS
• Stranger Thing consists of four seasons, in each of which something
different takes place.
