QUANTIFIERS
Countable and un countable nouns
Los sustantivos "contables" son entidades individuales que se pueden
cotar y tienen una forma singular y plural (girl - girls, man - men, minute -
minutes), responden a la pregunta ¿cuántos? (How many?) y utilizan a, an,
some, any, one y números.
Los sustantivos no contables van en singular y responden a la pregunta
¿cuánto? (How much?). Ejemplos:
a) I have some information for you. b) There isn't any food left
c) Have you got any milk? d) How much salad did you eat?
e) Do you want some water? f) All paper comes from trees.
g) I like most (of) music h) We have much / a lot of / lots
of / work to
do.
I) None of the news was interesting. j) She has read many
stories.
No contables
Many = muchos-as
Too many= demasiados
A lot of= ”un montón de” “muchos”
Some = algunos-as, un poco de
Few= pocos-as
Much= mucho-a
Too much= demasiado-a
Little= poco-a
