Task 2: Multi-Predict using Sketch-RNN
Engage/ In this activity, you’ll explore one of the Sketch-RNN Google experiment
Explore demos. Sketch-RNN uses a neural network that was trained on the user
data created through the Quick, Draw! game you explored in the last
5 Minutes module.

•The AI will attempt 9 different suggestions for how you might finish the picture.
Express •As you add to your drawing, the suggestions will update.
25-30 • If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you can:

Minutes • Click start over to clear your drawing and begin again
• Choose a new word to draw from the drop-down menu
• Click random to have the computer select a random word to draw
• Click predict to have the AI update the predictions of your drawing
Evaluate
• Slide the temperature slider to alter how creative the AI is when making
5 Minutes suggestions. The higher the number, the more inventive the designs.

Task 3: Training a Machine [Link]

In this activity, you’ll use Teachable Machine to train an AI model that can categorize apples and bananas.
Engage/ Follow the steps below to train your AI model:

Explore [Link] to Teachable Machine.

[Link] Your Classes: Rename Class 1 as ‘Apple’ and Class 2 as ‘Banana’.
5 Minutes [Link] Training Data: We’re going to import images to train our model.

1. Go to this Google Drive folder.

Express 2. From this folder, navigate to the Apple- Training and Banana- Training folders. Right click and
download the 3 images of each type of fruit.
25-30
1. You should have 3 apple images and 3 banana images downloaded.
Minutes 3. In the Teachable Machine model, click the upload button, and then select choose images from
your files.
4. Drag the 3 apple images into the apple class and the 3 banana images to the banana class.
[Link] the Model: Once you’ve added the training images, click the Train Model button in the middle. This
Evaluate will train the supervised learning algorithm to classify future images based on the training
images. Important: Don’t navigate away from the page while this is happening!
5 Minutes [Link] the Model: When the model is done training, it’s time to test its quality.
Return to the Google Drive folder and, inside, navigate to the Testing folder. Download all images to test
your model. Copyright © 2021 Pearson Education Ltd.
