AN OVERVIEW OF INPUT AND OUTPUT

What is Input and Output?

When we use a computer or any electronic device, we often need to;


Give it information → This is called Input
Get results from it → This is called Output

An Easy Way to Remember;


Input = Information goes In
Output = Outformation comes out
An example in Real Life:

Let’s say you’re playing a game on a computer:


You press keys on the keyboard ➡️Input
The game shows your character moving on screen ➡️Output
INPUT
What is Input?

Input is when you give information or data to a computer or [Link] are


putting something INTO the computer so it knows what to do.

Input Devices (things we use to give input):Keyboard – You type letters,


numbers, or commands.
Mouse – You click, drag, or move things on the screen.
Microphone – You speak into it, and the computer hears [Link] – You
tap or swipe with your fingers.
Camera – Takes pictures or video as input.
Game controller – Sends your moves to the game.

for Example: Imagine you’re writing a story on a [Link] you type on


the keyboard, you’re giving the computer input – the letters and [Link]
computer then shows your words on the screen (that's output).
OUTPUT
What is Output?

Output is when a computer gives information back to [Link] shows you the result of what
you asked it to [Link] can think of it like this: The computer is sending something out to
you.

Output Devices (things that show you the result):


Monitor (screen) – Shows text, images, videos, or games.
Speakers – Play sounds, music, or [Link] – Prints out text or pictures on paper.
Projector – Shows images or videos on a wall or screen.
Headphones – Let you hear sound privately. For Example: Imagine you type a sentence on
a [Link] keyboard is input (you type).The monitor shows your sentence – that's
output.
