HOW TO APPLY FOR AN INDONESIAN PASSPORT STEP-
BY-STEP GUIDE

1. Prepare Original Documents &


Valid
Photocopies electronic ID card (E-KTP).
Family Card (Kartu Keluarga / KK).

One supporting
document
showing date of
birth & parents’
names:
Birth Certificate , Marriage certificate
Old passport if you have passport
before
Special Cases

For minors (<17 years) or special cases example


migrant workers, sailors, religious study, additional
documents may be required (such as parental
consent letter, recommendation letter, or worker
documents) and duty stamp.
2. Download the M-Paspor App & Create an
Account
• Download the official M-Paspor app (available on
PlayStore / App Store).
• Register your account to fill in application data,
upload documents, and choose an Immigration
Office and appointment date.
3. Fill in Application Data & Upload
Documents
Log in to M-Paspor → choose application type (new /
renewal / lost / damaged) → fill in personal details →
upload clear photos/scans of required documents.

Dont forget ensure all data matches your ID and Family


Card.
4. Choose Immigration Office &
Appointment Date
Select the Immigration Office and pick an
available date/time for verification and biometric
capture (photo & fingerprints).
5. Pay the Passport Fee
Follow the payment instructions via the app, by
virtual account.
Example of reported official fee: around Rp
650,000,- for 5 years passport
6. Visit the Immigration Office on Your
Appointment Day
Bring all original documents, payment
receipt, and booking proof from the
app.
At the office, your documents will be
checked, and you’ll complete biometric
capture (photo & fingerprints) and
possibly a short interview.
7. Wait for Notification & Collect Your
Once printed,Passport
you’ll be notified for
collection (some offices issue it the
same day, others send notifications
via app/WA).

Bring valid ID for collection.
