1. Smiling – there is nothing like a smile and pleasant


face to greet a customer. Simile and polite
conversation can attract customers attention.
2. Eye contact – always look into your customer’s
eyes. Directly Address Customers.
3. Tone of voice- Always convey friendliness and
kindness.
4. Hand gestures – use hand movements to
emphasize what you say.
5. Be A good listener - Effective listening and undivided
attention are particularly important. Listen to their words, tone
of voice, body language, and most importantly, how they feel;

6. Identify & Anticipate Needs - Take the time to identify
customer needs by asking questions and concentrating on what
the customer is really saying. Most customer needs are
emotional rather than logical/rational. The more you know
your customers, the better you become at
anticipating/predicting their needs.
7. Help customers to understand your systems
Your organization may have the world's best systems
for getting things done, but if customers don't
understand them, they can get confused, impatient and
angry. Take time to explain how your systems work and
how they simplify transaction.

8. Know how to Apologize - When something goes wrong,
apologize. It's easy and customers like it.
9. Get regular Feed back - Encourage and welcome
suggestions about how you could improve. Find out what
customers think and feel about your services.
Listen carefully to what they say; Check back regularly to
see how things are going;
10. Positive Attitude - Attitude is the way we perceive
things and situations in our life. Your attitude is going to be
mirrored back by the customer. A bad mood or a bad day
could be taken care of by right attitude.
