Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the lesson, the students are
expected to:
• To know what ASSURE is
• To understand its purpose and goal and;
• To know how it affects the teaching and
learning in a class
Activity:
Title: Word Search
In this activity, the class
will be having a word
puzzle in which you will
be going to find the
words in the puzzle.
INTRODUCTION:
To become skilled in today’s classroom, it
is crucial t know when to use a wide range
of instructional strategies and passive
interactive media. Technology is more than
just a tool; it’s a powerful enabler for
engaging and effective learning.
ASSURE
• ASSURE model is a procedural
guide planning for and delivering
instructions integrates technology
and media into the teaching
process.
A - Analyze Learners
• Know your audience
• Before you do anything else,
understand who you are
teaching.
S - State Standards and Objectives
• What do you want them to learn?
• After the analysis of the learners attributes,
the teacher must state standards and
objectves for the learning module.
• Objectives should be SMART: Specific,
Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-
bound
S - Select Strategies, Teachnology, Media, and
Materials
• Picking the right tools for the job
• Once you know your audience and have a clear
idea of what they should get out of the lesson, then
it is time to select the appropriate method for the
given learning task, select available materials,
modify existing materials, or design new materials
to help accomplish this task. (Smaldino, Lowther, &
Russell, 2012)
U - Utilize Technology, Media, and
Materials
• Making it happen
• This is the
implementation phase-
the actual teaching part.
• Prepare the technology
in advance; make sure
everything is working
properly.
R - Require Learner Particpation
• Active learning is key
• It requires that you make
plans to how you are
going to actively engage
your students in the
material that you are
teaching.
E - Evaluate and Revise
• This is a crucial step for
growth and improvement.
• You need to evaluate the
impact of your teaching on
student learning. This
includes an evaluation of your
teaching strategies and the
technology, media, and
materials that you used.
The following questions are useful to ask during
this evaluation:
• Did your lesson meet the learning objectives that
you planned?
• How will you determine whether the students reach
the objective?
• Is your way of assessing the students in line with
your learning objectives?
• The final step in your evaluation should focus on
feedback from your students.
Conclusion:
• The ASSURE Model is not rigid formula
but a flexible framework that guides you
in making thoughtful decisions.
• By following these steps, you can create
more meaningful, engaging, and effective
lessons for your students
