The dodo bird
Dodo birds were flightless birds that were gray in
color, about 3 feet tall, and weighed 22-40 pounds.
The dodo bird lived on the island of Mauritius. They had
large hooked beaks. They were flightless birds because
they really did not have any predators to fly away from
on the island.

Dunkleosteu
s Dunkleosteus is an extinct genus of arthrodire placoderm
fish that existed during the Late Devonian period, about
358–382 million years ago. The
name Dunkleosteus combines the Greek ὀστέον, osteon,
meaning "bone", and Dunkle, in honor of David Dunkle of the
Cleveland Museum of Natural History.

including Dunkleosteus
Meglodon
Megalodon, meaning "big tooth", is an extinct species of
shark that lived approximately 23 to 3.6 million years
ago, during the Early Miocene to the Pliocene. It was
formerly thought to be a member of the family Lamnidae
and a close relative of the great white shark.

A new study suggests that a tsunami of cosmic
energy from a supernova killed off large ocean
animals – including the huge megalodon shark –
2.6 million years ago. A shower of particles may
have spelled curtains for the megalodon.
A shark's skeleton is mostly made of cartilage which
breaks down after the shark's death and doesn't fossilize.
The teeth, however, are made of a bone-like substance,
and can be found fossilized on North Carolina beaches
and off the coast. Megalodon teeth can be as large as 6-
7 inches long.
The megalodon's 276 serrated teeth were the perfect
tool for ripping flesh. These sharks also had a ferocious
bite. While humans have been measured to have a bite
force of around 1,317 newtons, researchers have
estimated that the megalodon had a bite force
between 108,514 and 182,201 newtons, according to
the NHM.

Titanoboa
Titanoboa is an extinct genus of very large snakes that
lived in what is now La Guajira in northeastern Colombia.
They could grow up to 12.8 m long and reach a weight of
1,135 kg. Fossils of Titanoboa have been found in the
Cerrejón Formation, and date to around 58 to 60 million
years ago.

Climate change contributed to the disappearance and
extinction of most of Titanoboa. The declining global
temperatures favored the emergence of smaller snakes.
Larger reptiles were slowly erased and smaller snakes and
other reptiles too over their places in the ecosystem.
