History of Python

• Python was created by Guido van Rossum, who started its implementation in December 1989 at CWI (Centrum Wiskunde &
Informatica) in the Netherlands as a successor to the ABC programming language. The inspiration for the name came from the
BBC's TV Show - ' Monty Python's Flying Circus'
