WHAT IS SCRATCH?

Scratch is a block-based visual programming language

and website developed by MIT that makes it easy to create
interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art, and
share your creations on the web. Scratch can run from within
a modern web browser. It has been translated into 70+
language, and is used in most parts of the world. The Scratch
interface is divided into three main sections:- a stage area,
block palette and a coding area to place and arrange the
blocks into sprites that can be run by pressing the green flag.
INVENTORS OF SCRATCH
Michael Resnik and Anders Monroy Hernandez, the
creator of the super-simple Scratch programming
language and head of the Lifelong Kindergarten group at
the MIT Media Lab, gave a TEDx talk about the value of
coding and computer literacy in early education.
