Internet of

Things
What is IoT (Internet of Things)?

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a system where everyday objects and devices are connected to
the internet to collect, share, and respond to data automatically. These smart devices can
communicate with each other without human involvement.
Why is IoT Important ?

🤖 IoT is important because it makes our lives easier, safer, and more efficient by allowing devices to
work together.
🔹 Smart Automation: IoT helps automate tasks, such as turning lights on/off automatically.
🔹 Remote Control: Devices can be controlled from anywhere using a smartphone or computer.
🔹 Real-Time Data: IoT devices collect and send useful data to improve decision-making.
🚀 How Does IoT Work?

🏠 IoT works by connecting devices to the internet so they can collect data, process it, and take action automatically.
The process involves four main steps:
• Sensors & Devices – Collect data from the environment (e.g., temperature sensors, motion detectors, cameras).
• Connectivity – The device sends data to the internet using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or mobile networks.
• Processing & Cloud Computing – Data is analyzed in the cloud or on a local system.
• Action & Response – The device takes action based on the processed data (e.g., turning on lights when motion is
detected).
Examples of IoT in Daily Life

Healthcare & Hospitals

IoT helps doctors monitor patients remotely and improves hospital efficiency.
🔹 Remote Patient Monitoring – Sends real-time health data to doctors.
🔹 IoT-enabled Ambulances – Transmit patient vitals to hospitals before arrival.
🔹 Smart Pill Dispensers – Remind patients to take medicines on time.

Automation
Factories use IoT to improve production and reduce machine failures.
🔹 Automated Robots – Work alongside humans in manufacturing.
🔹 Predictive Maintenance – Sensors detect machine problems before they fail.
🔹 Energy Management – IoT helps factories save electricity and resources.
Benefits of IoT ⚡

⏳ Saves Time & Energy⚡

IoT devices optimize power and reduce waste.
Example: Smart thermostats adjust room temperature, saving electricity.
Example: Smart washing machines use the right amount of water for each load.

Improves Safety & Security 🔒

IoT helps protect homes, offices, and cities.
Example: Smart doorbells show live video of visitors.
Example: IoT security cameras detect unusual activity and send alerts.
Benefits of IoT 🚗🚦
Better Healthcare & Monitoring 🏥
IoT helps doctors and patients track health conditions remotely.
Example: Wearable fitness trackers measure heart rate and sleep patterns.
Example: Smart insulin pumps automatically adjust doses for diabetic patients.
.

Smarter Transportation & Traffic 🚗🚦

IoT improves traffic control and vehicle management.
Example: Smart traffic lights adjust signals based on real-time congestion.
Example: GPS in cars gives live navigation and suggests faster routes.
