EFFECTS OF CLIMATIC CHANGE

Climatic change is one of the biggest
challenges facing today. It means that the
changes of temperature, rapid rainfall, and
unpredictable weather are mainly caused
by human activities. The greenhouse
gases are increasing due to the burning of
the fossil fuel, deforestation, and industrial
pollutions, etc.
[Link] change:
Climatic change refers to the alteration of
Earth’s climates, especially temperature,
rainfall, and seasonal cycles. Climate
change means the increasing of the earth’s
temperature and weathers are become
unpredictable due to the human activities
like pollution, increase of the greenhouse
gases, deforestation, etc. Climate change
can cause Drought of rain or rapid rainfall,
increase of temperature etc.
[Link] of climatic
change:
a) Greenhouse gases:
Greenhouses
gases like carbon dioxide (CO2), Methane
(CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O) increases heat in
Earth’s atmosphere. This is known as the
greenhouse effect. Naturally, it keeps the
Earth enough warm for life. However, human
activities like burning of coal, fossil fuels, oil,
gas emitting by vehicles (CO2, CO, NO3, SO2)
and industries emission.
b) Deforestation:
Forest is important for earth,
forest is also called as “lungs of the Earth”, it
observes carbon-dioxide (CO2) and Forest is

Cutting down trees for urbanization,
to build industries, and for furniture
leads to
the deforestation. When the forest burns the
stored carbon in the trees get releases CO 2
which leads to the increase of the greenhouse
gases. Deforestation can also reduce the
rainfall, which leads to increase of the Earth’s
temperature and also affect the wildlife
habitats.
c) Industrialization and Pollution:
Since the industries are growing
rapidly in today’s world and the pollution are
also increase due to the releasing more
amount of smoke and the chemical pollutant
that are mixing in the river. Factories,
vehicles, and burning of fossil fuel in power
plants in producing energy, releasing large
amounts of carbon-dioxide (CO2) and other
harmful gases. Which leads to the global
warming.
4. Impacts of Climate
Change:
a) Global Warming & Temperature
Rise:
The Earth's average temperature is
currently increasing at a rate of
approximately 0.2°C (0.36°F) per decade.
Increase in warming makes summer hotter,
causes frequent heatwaves, and increases
drought conditions. Which can lead to the skin
cancer, sun stoke, etc.

b) Melting Glaciers & Sea Level
Rise:
Rising of Earth’s temperature
causes the melting of the glaciers and polar
ice caps. Which leads to the increasing the
sea level. It leads to the risk of the coastal
area in flooding and tsunami. At currently the
sea level rises 0.17 inches per year.

c) Impacts in weather events:
Climate change makes weather
unpredictable and more intensive. Frequent
floods, cyclones, hurricanes, droughts, and
heavy rainfall. This leads to destroy
properties, kill people, and damage
agriculture. Warmer ocean
temperatures

making them stronger and more
destructive. And heavy rainfall causes
landslide which destroy properties and
kill humans

5. Role of Individuals:
• Reduce plastic usage and recycle waste.
• Save electricity and water at home.
• Use bicycles or public transport instead of private vehicles.
• Participate in tree planting and awareness campaigns.
• Spread knowledge about climate change to others.
