I. MINOR OFFENSES
These are less serious acts of
misbehavior that disrupt the
classroom, school activities, or show
lack of respect for rules.
🔹 Examples of Minor Offenses:
1. Tardiness or cutting
2. Not wearing proper uniform or
ID
3. Eating inside the classroom
during class
4. Use of mobile phones/gadgets
during class without permission
5. Disrespectful behavior (talking
6. Littering or failure to clean
assigned area
7. Minor vandalism (e.g., writing
on desks)
8. Loitering during class hours
9. Noise or disturbances in class
10. Sleeping in class without valid
reason
Sanctions for Minor Offenses

II. MAJOR OFFENSES
These are serious violations that
endanger school safety, violate
the rights of others, or involve
criminal acts.

1. Bullying (verbal, physical,

3. Extortion or theft
4. Vandalism or destruction of
school property
5. Cheating or academic
dishonesty in exams/projects
6. Possession/use of drugs,
alcohol, tobacco
7. Bringing or using weapons or
sharp objects
8. Sexual harassment or lewd

9. Threatening a teacher,
classmate, or school staff
10. Membership or recruitment
in gangs
Sanctions for Major Offenses
Offense Frequency
• 1st Offense - Written warning,
guidance and counseling, report to
parents
• 2nd Offense Suspension (3–5
days), referral to Child Protection
Committee (CPC)
• 3rd Offense Longer suspension

• 4th Offense Recommendation for
transfer, referral to external
agencies if needed
• Due Process must always be
followed, especially for serious
cases like bullying, threats, or drug
use.
Sanctions for Minor Offenses
• All offenses must be documented in
the Student Discipline Record.
• Parents/guardians must be
informed and involved, especially
in repeated or major cases.
Sanctions for Minor Offenses
• A Behavior Management Team or
Child Protection Committee (CPC)
should handle serious cases.
• Restorative and positive discipline
approaches are encouraged, such
as peer mediation, apology letters,
or community service.
