How did it begin?


It originally started in Italy during the 14th century, after the end of the Middle
Ages. As the Ottoman empire began to conquer much of the lands, scholars that
live in the areas of the Ottomans decided to move far away from the Ottomans.
Eventually they all end up in Europe and mostly Italy. They brought manuscripts
and books from ancient times. These books and script contain most of the
information and knowledge about the world. As they soon investigate more
about the world with their books and scripts. They soon found out that the world
is more different that you think. Scholars also knew that most of the idea in
Europe are wrong. So European doctors, scientists, sculptors and
mathematicians experimented on their false ideas again in detail. They soon
found out that all of them were wrong. New ideas and knowledge encouraged
scholars to think more differently about the world. They thought that they were
reborned.
EVENTS THAT HAPPENED
Many events that happened in the Renaissance period changed parts of the
world.

 New discoveries in science


 New art forms in writing, painting and sculpture
 State-funded explorations of distant lands.
 First modern atlas is published.
 The rampaging plague called “The Black Death” infected large parts of the
world.
 The rise of the city Rome
 The artist, humanist, scientist, and naturalist Leonardo da Vinci was born.
 The start of The Age of Exploration
WHAT HAPPENED AFTER?
After the Renaissance, Europe faced a period of religion and political turmoil that
came to be known as the “Reformation”. Many other events also happened after
the Renaissance like the Age of Reason, the Scientifical Revolution, the-Post
Renaissance Revolution, the Industrial Revolution and the Age of Imperialism.
The Ottoman Empire declined in the late 1600s due to poor leadership and
Internal corruption.
Who started the renaissance?
• It was influenced by Petrarch and Boccaccio, who were considered the Fathers
of the Renaissance period.
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT?
The Renaissance is a very important event during the century. It led to many
changes in the world and the reborn of new learning systems. The Renaissance
reintroduced a spirit of inquiry and questioning that we still use today. The rise
of Renaissance Humanism opened the doors to the pursuit of knowledge and
intellectualism. The rejection of religious dogma started in the Renaissance. The
Protestant Reformation was a result of the freedom of thought permitted in the
Renaissance. The Renaissance teaches us the power of looking to the past for
insights and inspiration in dealing with today’s issues.
