TECHNOLOGY IN TEACHING AND LEARNING I
A. INTRODUCTION
This module provides basic knowledge, skills and values in
the use of technology for teaching and learning. It includes ICT
polices and safety issues, media and technology in various content
areas, learning theories and principles in the use and design of
learning lessons, teaching-learning experiences and assessment
tasks that utilize appropriate traditional and innovative
technologies with social, ethical and legal responsibility in the use
of technology tools and resources.
B. COURSE LEARNING OUTCOME
1. Demonstrate mastery of subject-matter/discipline.
2. Facilitate learning using a wide range of teaching methodologies and
delivery modes appropriate to specific learners and their environments.
3. Develop innovative curricula, instructional plans, teaching approaches
and resources for diverse learners
4. Apply skills in the development and utilization of ICT to promote quality
relevant and sustainable educational practices.
5. Practice professional and ethical teaching standards sensitive to the local,
national and global realities.
6. Pursue lifelong learning for personal and professional growth through
varied experiential and field opportunities.
TRANSPORTATION TECHNOLOGY
Marc Prensky is known as the creator of the term digital natives and digital immigrants.

a person who started using digital technology, computers, the internet, etc. during their adult life but did not
grow up using them: People age 30 or older are digital immigrants because they can never be as fluent in
technology as a native who was born into it.
DIGITAL INTERMEDIATES
Those closer to the cutoff are sometimes called digital
intermediates, which means they started using digital technology
in their early teens and thus are closer to digital natives in terms of
their understanding and abilities.
Can technology replace

classroom.
