Objective
• To learn the use and form of the “PAST SIMPLE TENSE”
PAST SIMPLE
• We use the past simple to talk about finished activities
that took place in the past.
• It can also express series of events in the past, and
habits.
Ex:
She worked in a supermarket last year.
They went shopping yesterday.
Within this tense we use regular and
irregular verbs.
REGULAR Irregular
• Finish in “–ED” • They can change their entire
form or maintain their form in
past.

The verb “do” changes into “did” and it is used
to make negative sentences and questions.
