ABBREVIATIONS

Make your own abbreviations:


Keep the main sounds of the word.
For example:
edn. (education),
progm. (programme).
Retain the suffix so that later when you are going over the notes you may recall
the full form of the word — e.g., ed’nal (educational), prog’ve (progressive).
NOTE MAKING AT A GLANCE
[Link] notes using phrases only, never use complete sentences
[Link] topic sentence of each paragraph is the main point and ideas
affiliated to it are Sub-points-one or more, depending on the concepts in
the paragraph.
[Link] sub-point may or may not have supplementary ideas which
become sub-sub points.
[Link] an appropriate title for the notes or the summary or abstract,
as given in the question.
[Link] a minimum of 4-6 distinctly different recognizable short forms
i.e., abbreviations of the words in the notes.
[Link] all the important points in the notes meaningfully to prepare
the abstract/summary in about 80100 words.
[Link] the summary or abstract in complete sentences in a paragraph.
WRITING A SUMMARY

1. Prepare your summary with the help of the notes made above.
2. Do NOT use the main text to make the summary.
3. Remember to give a title to your summary.
4. Write the word SUMMARY, followed by the title given at the beginning of the
Notes before penning down the Summary
5. The word limit for the same is 80 words.
6. Write the summary or abstract in complete sentences in a
paragraph.
