During first tenure(Oct 2001 to Dec 2004) as CM reduced fiscal deficit by 50%.

Before 10 years credit were of Rs. 80786 crores but now deposit of Rs 133938 crore deposit in World Bank.( Gujarat Socio-Economic review 2008 )

Leadership is about result and team building. Real leaders are those who bring in results consistently. Same for corporate leaders, intelligent PR partner spins reputation but finally out of newspapers.

Over period these become properties which is very difficult.
