Understanding Space-Time Concepts

The document discusses the concept of space-time, primarily based on Albert Einstein's theory of relativity, which connects space and time as a four-dimensional continuum. It explains how gravity and velocity affect the perception of time, illustrating that time can slow down under different gravitational forces and speeds. Additionally, it provides examples of the length of days on various planets in comparison to Earth.

WHO DISCOVERED SPACE-
TIME?
⋆ The famous physicist Albert Einstein helped develop the
idea of space-time as part of his theory of relativity. Prior
to his pioneering work, scientists had two separate theories
to explain physical phenomena: Isaac Newton's laws of
physics described the motion of massive objects, while
James Clerk Maxwell's electromagnetic models explained
the properties of light, according to NASA
TIME IS EXIST WITH SPACE
⋆ According to Newton, absolute time exists
independently of any perceiver and progresses at a
consistent pace throughout the universe.
⋆ Einstein thinks that space and time are connected Space
and time in Einstein's universe are no longer flat (as
implicitly assumed by Newton) but can pushed and
pulled, stretched and warped by matter. Gravity feels
strongest where spacetime is most curved, and it vanishes
where spacetime is flat.
Does gravity or velocity affect time?
Gravity and speed influences time; the faster you travel the more time slows down, but also the more
gravity pulling on you the more time slows down. (Albert Einstein's)
Since in the observer's frame they are stationary and the Sun is moving, the conclusion is that velocity
does not change the spacetime curvature. Incidentally, this is why a fast moving object does not turn
into a black hole.

Einstein's Spacetime
SPACE TIME IS FOUR DIMENSIONAL
⋆ Space time is thus four dimensional. Mathematical events have zero
duration and represent a single point in spacetime. The path of a particle
through spacetime can be considered to be a succession of events
