Stages of Plant Design
1. identification and selection of product to
be manufactured
2. Feasibility analysis and appraisal
3. Economic evaluation
4. Design report preparation
5. Procurement of materials including
machinery construction
6. Installation and commissioning
Activity 1
Focus Group Discussion (FDG)

1. Create a group @ 5 members per unit, with a


unique name. The name does not yet exist, but it
could be registered at DTI.
2. Make initial plans for a facility for a food or non-
food manufacturing plant
3. Identify what is the main product and a secondary
product
4. List the equipment needed for the proposed facility
5. Upload the output to the Gdrive until 5PM, on or
before Jan 23, 2025
