Parameterize
Parameterize a page
If you want to create pages with same content for multiple countries or sectors then Open
Data Platform (ODP) offers you a feature using which you don't need to create many pages,
but just one. This can be done using the "Parameterize" option in edit mode.
There are 2 parameterization options:
Page level parameterization
Parameterize page by country/indicator
Gadget linking
Link gadgets to provide detailed information based on user actions
Link table rows to detailed chart presentation
Display detailed data breakdown in chart/table for country clicked on a map etc.

Click the Parameterize link in the
toolbar. Select the gadget it
displays the options that are
available to link.

Note:
To link gadgets:
• Select the dashboard you want
to link gadgets on.
• Make sure you have at least
two gadgets on your
dashboard.

Select the Links icon on any one of
the gadgets that you want to link,
for example, like in ranking gadget.
In this example: Gadget Linked with
Indicator is displayed (dotted line in
to continuous line).

Parameterize- Link between Gadgets
Once you click apply at top right hand corner on the parameterized page, the site
adds a drop-down menu to the left side of the interface. Select a new element for
the parameterized dimension by choosing a value from this drop-down menu. All
the gadgets on the page that share the same definition as the parameterized
dimension automatically update themselves to show the appropriate data for the
new element selection.

Comparing Two Sets of Data in Portal
Open Data Platform (ODP) enables you to display data from multiple datasets in a single
chart or table, which helps you to compare data across datasets.
To make selections from multiple datasets, start by creating a gadget with the data from
one dataset, and then follow these steps.
• Edit a gadget.
• In the dialog appeared, switch to Dataset Selection
• Click Browse Datasets.

• Now simply choose the data for another dataset. When your gadget
combines the data from multiple datasets, the Dataset dropdown menu
becomes available under the Dimension Filter tab. Use this control to
switch between the datasets

• Select the Indicators from multiple datasets and click on the appearance tab

• Once you save the Page the dashboard will be saved under your
profile.
