general type is the note.

• Two types of notes are generally used in
engineering drawings: Local Notes and
General Notes.
• A Local Note is displayed with a leader and
an arrowhead referring the statement of the
note to the proper place (drawing view).

• A General Note refers to descriptions applying
to the drawing as a whole and it is provided
without a leader normally on the left bottom
side of the drawing.
