Principles
Principle 1- Customer Focus
Organizations depend on their
customers and therefore, should
understand current and future customer
needs, should meet customer requirements,
and strive to exceed customer expectations.
Principle 2- Leadership
1. Leaders establish unity of purpose and
direction of the organization. They should create
and maintain the internal environment in which
people can become fully involved in achieving the
organization's objectives.
2. Inspires trust and confidence in
other members of the group. An
example of leadership is a store
manager leading the team to more
sales. An example of leadership is
the ability to take control of a
situation and guide people.
Principle 3- Involvement of People
1. People at all levels are the essence of an organization and
their full involvement enables their abilities to be used for
the organization's benefit.
2. The good thing in employee involvement it will
makes employees feel part of the organization, and
it will this happens, they become more responsible
to their tasks/work and push themselves to find the
better results and it also enhances the possibilities
of innovative thinking and creative thinking.
Principle 4- Process Approach
A process approach is a series of actions which are
carried out to achieve a particular result.
Principle 5 - System
Approach to Management
Principle 5- is all about understanding
identifying, and managing interrelated processes
of a system that contributes to the organization's
effectiveness and efficiency in achieving its
objectives.
Principle 6- Continual Improvement
Continuous improvement is the ongoing effort to
improve products or processes and, as such, it lives
and dies on a company-wide ethos to strive for
optimal outcomes in everything you do. It will give
the organizations a framework of reaching the next
level of excellence.
Principle 7-Factual Approach to
Decision Making
1. Effective decisions are based
on the analysis of data and
information.
2. This principle allows
management to make
more informed decisions.
It provides an increased
ability to demonstrate the
effectiveness of past
decisions through
reference to fractual
records.
Principle 8 - Mutually Beneficial Supplier
Relationships
1. An organization and its suppliers are interdependent,
and a mutually beneficial relationship enhances the ability
of both to create value.
2. Use of this supplier relationship principle provides an
increased ability to create value for both parties.
3. All principles that are listed will give us an
overview of total quality management and show
how collectively they can form a basis for
performance improvement and organizational
excellence. There are a lot of ways of applying
these quality management principles. The
nature of the organization and the specific
challenges faces and will determine on how to
implement them.
