• You attended a school debate on whether mobile phones


should be banned in schools.
• Two speakers gave opposing views.

• Write a report for your school newsletter explaining what the


speakers said and giving your own view.
• Base your answer on the two texts provided.

• AO1 – Reading: Understand and select relevant details (15


marks)
• AO2 – Writing: Use appropriate tone, style, and register (10
marks)
• AO3 – Structure: Organise and sequence ideas clearly (5

What You Need to Do

• ➡ Address 3 bullet points


• ➡ Use 15 relevant ideas (approx. 5 per bullet)
• ➡ Use information from BOTH texts
• ➡ Do NOT copy – Synthesize ideas and write in your own
words
