Introduction:

• software management in linux operating system is the


process of intalling ,updating , and uninstalling software
application and their associted packages in a linux
environment .
• It involves the use of various tools and techniques to ensure
that software is properly installed , configured and
maintenance on a linux system.
What is software management?

• Software Management is the art and science of planning and


leading software projects. It’s the Program Manager (PM) and
Software Engineers’ job to manage the development of
software and should use standard project management
techniques to managing a software project. In the DoD,
software management is called Software Acquisition
Management. It includes the management and execution of
software activities throughout the lifecycle of a program.
Project management:

• It is defined as set of activities that has a definite start and a


definite end.
• Project management tools and technique to manage the
resource to deliver customer needs.
• Project management activities must need the user and
stakeholder needs and expectation of project.
The main objective of software
