SACK RACE

WHAT IS SUCK RACE?


 The sack race sometimes called potato
sack race is a competitive game in which
participants place both of their legs inside a
suck ( or pillow case) that reaches their
waste or neck.
 Then they have to hop forward from starting

point toward a finish line. The first person


tom cross the finish line is the winner of the
suck race.
A sack race is a popular event in sports
days in primary school, as they’re lots of
fun, and more exciting than a regular
running race.
Why should I include a sack
race in my sports day?
 They are a great form of aerobic exercise.
 You can easily differentiate by changing
then length of the race.
 They require children to work on their hand-
eye coordination as they hold the sack or
pillow case up when they jump.
 They help children work on their gross
motor skills.
HISTORY
 Thisreally simple game started in 1967.
Potato sack racing was invented by the very
poor parents of a young farm boy, since
they couldn’t afford any equipment for
games on his birthday they emptied potato
sacks and made the guests stand in them to
race.
How to play
 1. Have all the participants in potato sacks.
 2. Stand at the starting line to start race.

times to try and reach finish line first.


What is it?
 Potato sack racing is a classic and really old
party game that is still popular to this day
because of its simplicity to play only
requiring physical effort to win.
