heating costs average $200, but the insulation is
expected to reduce heating costs by 10%. How
many months will it take to recover the cost of

4. Six hundred people attended the premiere of a
motion picture. Adults tickets cost $9, and
children were admitted for $6. If box office
receipts totaled $4800, how many children
attended the premiere?

lottery and wishes to deposit it in savings

deposited so that it is fully insured and earns
annual interest of $7500.

example)
11. Cory alone can finish typing a manuscript in
10 days. Cory and Imelda working together
can do the job in 7 days. How long would it
take Imelda to do the job alone?
