WHAT IS TETHERING
Tethering is the practice
of using a mobile device
as a modem to connect
another device, such as a
laptop or another mobile
phone to the Internet. To
do so, the phone must
have mobile data
enabled. Tethering is one
HOW DOES IT WORK
When tethering, a phone
essentially becomes a
portable Wi-Fi hotspot.
Tethering works by forming a
connection between a laptop
and a mobile phone. That
connection can be a physical
one in the form of a USB
cable, or wireless through
Bluetooth or Wi-Fi.
ADVANTAGES
 Can use your computer or
tablet on the internet to
get data wherever you
are
 Saves battery .
DISADVANTAGES
 It is a known fact that the
mobile connections are
slow when compared to
the broadband.
 In tethering, you can
experience average
internet speed only.
 Drains data faster
