vendors, focusing on income, comfort, convenience, customer

Anchored in Place Attachment Theory (Schumaker et al., 1983) and the
work of Jones et al. (2003) on locational convenience, it investigates
how the emotional bond between individuals and their physical
environment influences behavior and the significance of location in
retailing and service industries. By evaluating these factors, the study
aims to understand the impact of relocation on vendor experiences and
business effectiveness.

Public Market, offering insights beneficial to customers, the community,
policymakers, the local government unit (LGU), researchers, and future
researchers. Customers stand to gain understanding of potential changes in
shopping habits and satisfaction, while the community benefits from
enhanced resilience and community development. Policymakers receive
empirical evidence to inform inclusive strategies, while the LGU gains
insight into economic implications and urban development opportunities.
Researchers can utilize the study's findings to contribute to sustainable
urban planning, while future researchers can build upon this foundation to
explore additional dimensions of market dynamics and community impact.
INTRODUCTION
Scope and Limitations
This study is focused solely on the assessment of the factors that
affects the relocation of banga public market activities, potentially
limiting the generalizability of findings to other market relocations.
Through an extensive face-to-face interview with the banga public
market vendors, this study used a narrative analysis research
approach. One limitation of this study is the potential constraint
posed by the sample size, which may limit the generalizability of
findings. Moreover, external factors such as economic fluctuations
or government policies may exert influences on other factors.
REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE
Unlike the relocation of individual employees,
headquarters relocation affects the whole business operation.
Research suggests that relocation can have a direct impact on
shareholder wealth over the short term (Alli, Ramirez, & Yung,
1991; Chan, Gau, & Wang, 1995; Ghosh, Rodriguez, &
Sirmans, 1995) and can affect commercial real estate markets
(Manning. Rodriguez. & Ghosh, 1999; O'Mara, 1999).
Moreover, from an economic development perspective,
corporate head- quarters relocation has a major impact on both
the sending and receiving communities (Eisenberg & Friedland,
1990).
METHODOLOGY

determine the public vendors perceptions and experiences upon
relocating. This is an appropriate design to use because , it offers
a qualitative approach focused on exploring and understanding
individuals lived experiences and aims to delve deep into a
subjective perception. According to Groenewald (2004) a
Phenomenological Research Design is a research design that
focuses on the participants experiences of phenomena. It is a
qualitative approach that is focused on exploring and
understanding individuals’ perspective
