What is bill of rights ?
• The Bill of Rights in the Philippines is a crucial
part of the 1987 Constitution, guaranteeing
fundamental rights and freedoms to all Filipinos.
It's found in Article III of the Constitution and is
considered a cornerstone of Philippine
democracy.
• Here are some of the key rights protected by the Bill of Rights:
• Individual Liberties:
• Right to Life, Liberty, and Security: This protects Filipinos from
arbitrary arrest, detention, and other forms of deprivation of liberty.
• Right to Due Process of Law: Ensures fair and impartial legal
proceedings.
• Right to Equal Protection of the Laws: Prohibits discrimination based
on race, religion, sex, or other factors.
• Right to Privacy: Guarantees the inviolability of communication and
correspondence.
• Right to Property: Safeguards the right to own and dispose of
property.
• Political Participation:
• Freedom of Speech, Expression, and the Press: Allows individuals to
