What is development
 It is an event that constitutes a new state in
a changing situation.
 To develop is to grow or cause to grow and

become more enlarged, better.


 Changing in a positive direction.
 2Pet 1:8-9
Life-Cycle of a butterfly
 There are four stages in the life style of a
butterfly. These are:
 Egg
 Larva (Caterpillar)
 Pupa or Crystalis
 Adult
Why you must develop
 If you don’t develop from where you are
then the effect of your contribution will be
highly limited.
 The world is changing at a very rapid

means.
 One way you can develop yourself is by way

of patience. Waiting for an expected desire


makes you to build capacity to through
patient.
Ways of development
 By learning to be inquisitive
 Improve your associations and

relationships.
 How you confidently stand before some

persons.
 How you can overcome situations that

would naturally overwhelm you.


 To be able to take certain decisions and

responsiblilities
 Take certain steps
 Mature the more
 Development follows the discovery of a

need.
 Development answers to a purpose, or to

serves an end.
 Requires a conscious, deliberate, consistent,

persistent, organized and disciplined


approach.
Why is it necessary for you to
develop?
 There is a present financial gap. The
financial gap needs to be filled
 Develop something that can be financially

rewarding.
 Another area that needs development is in

the gifting areas. That is in the areas where


you are specially gifted in. Whatever you
are currently doing now, someone is
somewhere doing it in a better way.
 The needs gap.
 Teachers, councilors, administrators
 You need to be ahead of the situation.
 An important place in development.
 It is the very few persons who press on that

become rich. This is achieved by


development.
 The desire for you to keep becoming better

should not be overlooked.


 Life today at every level needs innovation.
 Separation and commitment to your leading
