Unit 3: PowerPoint

Basics
Duration: 8 sessions (1 hour each)
Main tool: Microsoft PowerPoint
Objectives:

1. Understand what PowerPoint is and how it works.


2. Learn the basic parts of the PowerPoint window.
3. Use text formatting tools to create presentations.
4. Apply transitions and animations.
5. Create a project about means of transportation using
PowerPoint.
Lesson 1: • Objective: Understand the purpose
and basic use of PowerPoint.
What is • Vocabulary: presentation, slide, text,

Activities:

• 1. Warm-up (10 min) – Teacher shows different


presentation slides and ask: What do you see? Have you used
PowerPoint before?
• 2. Presentation (15 min) – PowerPoint is a program for
making presentations. Students learn how to open a new file
and add a slide.
• 3. Practice (25 min) – Students open PowerPoint, add a
slide, and type their name.
• 4. Wrap-up (10 min) – Ask: "What can we do in
PowerPoint?"
Lesson 2: • Objective: Identify the main parts of
the PowerPoint window.

PowerPoint window and ask: "What do you see?“
