INTRODUCTION
Bangalore-based startup.
Focus on Li-ion battery recycling.
Sustainable and eco-friendly processes.
Goal: Sustainable recovery of lithium, cobalt, nickel, and manganese.
Helps in reducing CO₂ emissions and earning carbon credits.
3
Lithium-ion Battery & Recycling
Battery Components: Anode, cathode, electrolyte, separator, and casing.
Recycling Methods:
Direct Method: Recover and reuse battery components without breaking their structure.
Pyrometallurgy: Thermal treatment to extract metals.
Hydrometallurgy: Use of aqueous solutions to extract metals.
Hybrid-Hydro-Metallurgy (HHM): Minimines uses a combination of pyrometallurgy and
hydrometallurgy.
