PROCESS FLOW CHART
• A process flow chart is a visual representation of the steps involved in
completing a particular process or task. It uses standardized symbols
to illustrate the sequence of activities, decisions, inputs, and outputs.
This chart is helpful in understanding, analyzing, and improving
processes.
KEY ELEMENTS OF A PROCESS
FLOW CHART
• Start/End (Oval): Represents the beginning or conclusion of a
process.
• Process Step (Rectangle): Indicates a specific activity or task within
the process.
• Decision (Diamond): Represents a point where a decision must be
made, leading to different paths.
• Arrow: Shows the flow of the process, connecting different steps.
• Input/Output (Parallelogram): Represents data or materials entering
or leaving the process.
