SECOND CONDITIONAL
The second conditional is used to imagine present or future
situations that are impossible or unlikely in reality.
If + subject+ past simple……. Subject + would/could
+ verb
•If I were taller, I could reach the top shelf. (Si fuese más alta, podría llegar a la estantería
más alta.)
•If I were a good baker, I would prepare a cake for you. (Si fuese una buena
pastelera, haría un pastel para tí.)
If we had a garden, we could have a cat.
If I won a lot of money, I'd buy a big house in the country.
I wouldn't worry if I were you.
•500 euros / If I had / buy / I would / to spend / a new laptop _ if I had 500 euros to spend, I
