Problem Statement Title: ELECTRICITY
CONSUMPTION AND BUILD TRACKER WEBSITE
Team Name: THUNDERBOLT
Team Leader Name: KARTIK GUPTA
Institute Code (AISHE): C-25173
Institute Name: Poornima College of Engineering
Idea/Approach Details
Describe your idea/Solution/Prototype here:
It ensure energy management and the need for consumption tracking. It also helps in
electricity consumption and bill tracker website.
• Using an electricity consumption and bill tracker website can provide real-time data on energy
usage.
• Increase awareness of energy consumption habits, and reduce energy costs.
• It can also help with identifying ,inefficiencies and promoting sustainable practices.
Developing an efficient electricity consumption and bill tracker website requires
the use of
sensors, data analytics, and web development technologies such as HTML, CSS,
and JavaScript
. Cloud computing and Internet of Things (IoT) platforms can also be used to improve
the
system's efficiency.

Idea/Approach Details
Describe your Technology stack here:
Hardware Components:
IoT Device (NodeMCU or Raspberry Pi): This device will collect electricity consumption data and send it to the cloud.
Current Sensor: Use a current sensor to measure the electricity consumption of the web server. Current sensors can be clamped around a power
cable to measure current flow.
Wi-Fi Module: To connect the IoT device to the internet and send data to the cloud, you'll need a Wi-Fi module.
Power Supply: Provide power to the IoT device and sensors.
Software Components:
Firmware for IoT Device: Write firmware for your IoT device that reads data from the current sensor, connects to Wi-Fi, and sends the data to a
cloud service. You can use Arduino or Raspberry Pi libraries for this.
Cloud Platform: Choose a cloud platform like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or a specialized IoT platform like Thingspeak or Adafruit IO to collect and
store data from your IoT device.
Database: Set up a database on the cloud platform to store the electricity consumption data.
Web Application: Create a web application or a dashboard that retrieves data from the database and displays it in a user-friendly format. You can
use technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and a backend framework like [Link] or Python to build this web application.
Prototype Workflow:
Sensor Data Acquisition: The current sensor measures the electricity consumption of the website's server and sends this data to the IoT device.
IoT Device Processing: The IoT device processes the data and sends it to the cloud platform via Wi-Fi.
Cloud Storage: The cloud platform stores the received data in a database.
Web Application: A web application communicates with the cloud platform's database to retrieve and display the electricity consumption data. Users
can access this web application through a web browser.
Real-time Monitoring: The web application can display real-time electricity consumption data in graphical or tabular form, and it can provide
historical data for analysis.
Alerts and Notifications: Implement alerting mechanisms in your web application to notify users if electricity consumption exceeds predefined
thresholds.
4
Keep in mind that this is a simplified prototype. In a real-world scenario, you would need to consider security, scalability, and more complex data
analysis if required. Additionally, you may want to use more advanced sensors and hardware for accurate electricity consumption measurements.
