Five Basic

Essentials
an overview
These five essentials
of Girl Scouting are so
interrelated that they
cannot be arranged or
numbered in any order of
importance. Each is as
important as the other.
1. The Promise and Law

Everyone who joints


the movement makes
the promise
On my Honor, I will do my duty
To God and my Country
To always help other people
And to live the Girl Scouts Promise and
Laws

Sa aking Karangalan


Gagampanan ko ang aking tungkulin,
Sa Diyos at sa aking bayan
Tutulong ako sa aking kapwa sa lahat ng
pagkakataon
At isasabuhay ko ang batas ng Girl
Scouts
These principles are:

A. The acceptance that


God exists and that we
have a duty to know, love
and serve Him and in
doing so, love and serve
our fellowmen who are
His children.

C. Conformity to a code of
behaviour embodied in the
Girl Scout Promise and Law.

6. Ang GS ay may galang sa lahat ng may
buhay.
7. Ang GS ay Disiplinado.
8. Ang GS ay may sariling paninindigan
9. Ang GS ay Matipid.
10. Ang GS ay malinis sa isip sa salita at sa gawa.
2. The Patrol System

is self-government in
action - democratic living
on a level which girls can
understand and
appreciate.

3. Badgework

Badgework is the means by


girls are encouraged to
participate in Girl Scouting
activities. A Badge is provided
as an incentive for a knowledge

participating in the activities.
