Five Basic
Essentials
an overview
These five essentials
of Girl Scouting are so
interrelated that they
cannot be arranged or
numbered in any order of
importance. Each is as
important as the other.
1. The Promise and Law
Everyone who joints
the movement makes
the promise
On my Honor, I will do my duty
To God and my Country
To always help other people
And to live the Girl Scouts Promise and
Laws
Sa aking Karangalan
Gagampanan ko ang aking tungkulin,
Sa Diyos at sa aking bayan
Tutulong ako sa aking kapwa sa lahat ng
pagkakataon
At isasabuhay ko ang batas ng Girl
Scouts
These principles are:
A. The acceptance that
God exists and that we
have a duty to know, love
and serve Him and in
doing so, love and serve
our fellowmen who are
His children.

The Girl Scout program is
best carried out in outdoor
setting. One of the chief
attractions of Scouting to
young people is the
promise of adventure and
fun in the out-of-door.

Girl Scouting derives a
great part of its
strength from the fact
that it is world-wide in
nature.
